Has it been that long? Okay dumb question.....

Where can i start basically iv'e been busy as hell working out at 24 fitness, going to BBQ's and playing games. I finally got my HDTV set 50inch LCD Zineth which is quite nice, however it doesn't do 1080P only 1080i but meh im not complaining.

My gamerscore now sits at 21,131 points which is quite a bit of a jump for me from where i was which was at 18-19,000. Im not counting exact number's here. Iv'e ditched my drunken roomate which is also another plus. We still hang out cause he is a good friend no more coming home to see someone playing practical jokes on me all the time which i admit was a bitch.

So why in the hell am i typing all this non sense on e3 2007 eve? Since i left my blog here has pretty much well pooped out. I will continue this blog but if anyone reads this basically i just got tired of updating on thing's you could read on another blog/gaming website.

I will say kudos for MS for finally having the guts to come clean about the Red Ring's Of Death if you go back to last year in the updates you'll read my Halloween horror story. Not only the death of my launch system but also the begining of a new system which i still have BTW. But alas i can give MS only so much props without being a total and complete fanboi.

MS still has IMO a shit ton a work to win the JP and the gamer in Canada, i mean how sad is it that Canada doesn't even have a flippin Video Market Place? Ms must improve on this type of nonsense if it is truly to take a leader ship place in this market in this era. It will not succeed however if it continues to insult it's user base in this fashion. MS doesn allot of good thing's and i thank them for the 360 and the honesty it recently showed.

MS is listening but until they churn out games for the JP gamer and take a more international approach with regards to rolling out service's so all LIVE territories are on even ground they will continue to piss off gamer's like it or not. Rightfully so, we American's are not the only ones paying for XBOX LIVE think about this for a sec. How would any of us like to pay full price and not reap the rewards that other LIVE members are enjoying for months now.

IMO this is a weakness on MS part but one that could be corrected not all is not lost. However with the PS3 price drop to 499.99 which i will be purchasing one soon!

I wonder how long before this boemeth get's it's legs and start to actually make this an intresting race for sales. Sure the 599.99 SKU may have done more damage then good. But is anyone really going to buy the 80GB model, ask yourself"s ? Also if you can upgrade the PS3 with a 5200 or RPM drive why not just throw in a 200 GB or even a 120 GB model.

So what made me change my mind besides the price drop concerning the PS3? I got some words for ya all:

1. Lair- Factor 5 has not dissapointed they developed the Rouge Squadron games for the CUBE.

2. Strangle Hold SE- If more developer can take advantage of Blu Ray in this unique fashion then the idea of a mass disc storage for a gaming console is legit and a force to reckon with in the 08-09.

3. HOME-Laugh now fanboi's and hell honestly im somewhat of a skeptic but what SONY could potentally pull off here could be something unique and big. So what if it's Second Life for consoles and until we play the final release who are we to say it will tank. Remember XBOX LIVE, has enjoyed numerous amounts of tweaking before it is to where it is at today. Never discount a companies creativity and will to make it work.

4. Insomiac-Ted Price and his boys always hit platinum baby and Resistance proved the company can make a game outside Ratchet and Clank. But wait that game is hitting store shelves this year oh my!

5. Immersion Settlement- Sure old news sure.... but imagine Rumble in the SIXAXSIS the controller no longer looked down upon and would single handedly resurrect this device. Dont HATE.

6. Price- Sure SONY may have not proved itself worthy with the intro to the 599 SKU but i believe this will not matter as time goes on. Hell 499.99 for a Blu Ray drive is the sweet spot for the PS3 and was basically the determing factor on why i didn't a launch PS3. Sure the ELITE is 479.99 USDA i completely understand but does the 360 have Blu Ray nope. Does the 360 have built in WiFi out of the box umm NO. I could argue with the most harden fans of either console all night and day. But right out of the box IMO the PS3 offer's more technology built into the machine. Please don't give me the no HDMI cable bundle BS cause anyone of us knows EBAY has them cheap not a big deal.

That's only six reason's right there legit or rambling's of a blind gamer you decide? But a gamer i am first and foremost and im not loyal to one brand. I however still think my 360 is the shit but i think i will have just as good of a time once SONY get's rolling with the PS3. No ONE and i mean NO BODY should be so closed minded to think one will always be better then the other.

If this generation goes down and the Playstation brand falls i'll eat crow. But remember every juggernaut makes a final stand. Sony is not going to be outdone and trust that it will put up a fight for market share in the coming year.

Now that this is outta the way what can we all look forward to on the biggest day of gaming?

For one i wonder what tat Mr. Peter Moore will be sporting this year MGS4 or maybe nothing or maybe another unknown game nobody has thought of yet! I will TIVO the event on G4 and get updates through my mobile phone. I'll be at work which sucks but hey that's why the 360 had background downloading eh!

Other then that HALO 3, BioShock, Assasins Creed oh hell yeah i cant wait, give me some MASS EFFECT to while your at it.

Many intresting and hopefully creative thing's will happen at e3 this year. As a gamer i truly think this year the ones to come will be glorius for us all.

Well it's been a few days since I posted anything, it finally happened our boss finally pulled the plug on our innerweb!

Pissed me off but I can understand supposedly everyone in the dept was hogging the bandwidth on the server which kept crashing it. I say how does a billion dollar company like Tyco afford to piss money away but can't provide better equipment.

The way of CORP. America I suppose, which im a slave of until I can find my way out of the rat race.

I also noticed that MS decided to change Windows Spaces yet again but you will notice my box for my Categories are gone WTF? Also most of my blog pics for April are gone except the QWERTY attachment for the 360 controller.

Hey MS I would like to know WTF happened here? Seriously most times I get an email message in my Hotmail inbox but this time for some reason I did not get one. It's ben a while since I bitched about something so I had to let it out.

Hey atleast I didn't post some lone drawn out post on why RED OCTANE can suck it with the GH2 pricing! Anyway that's what's happening as of late.

My Ears My Ears!!!!!

It's Tuesday and my ears are finnally done ringing from the night before. The concert with Year Long Disaster and The Sword was f'in sweet.

It was well worth the price of admission, i had a few drinks two long island's and a beer so sue me! It's pretty hard in that environment not to let loose a bit and have a few drinks.

Never fear though im back on the healthy eating habbits and ready for the new week. I finally unlocked my Graw Act 2 achievement's, so far the game kicks allot of bootie and am very happy so far with Graw 2. I left Crackdown for Graw 2 for now i'll go back to Crackdown later on im not in any big hurry.

So about lastnight the music was hard, heavy and allot of thrash, we got there kinda early and that's when we hit up the bar next door for an hour or so. Then around 9:20 we went and let me say again there were allot of attractive females in tank top and bra straps, very hot very nice!

I thought i'd share as to what happened lastnight before we get into some gaming goodness!

I almost forgot about Sunday morning, I went to go see 300 the Frank Miller ass kicking fest!

I won't go into the story, I don't want to be a spoiler for some peeps who have not seen the movie.

My impressions are visually the movie is like not to many other movies, infact it maybe like no other movie I have laid eyes on before. Sure it reminds me Brave Heart kinda. But actually it's like Brave Heart x100. Or should I say x300...

Okay bad joke but honestly the battle scenes are fucking awesome I can't put it another way. When you can see guys getting their limbs chopped off in slow motion, it' is something to behold.

300 Spartans against 1 million Persians, the odds are tremendous and if you put 2 and 2 together you already can figure out how it all ends. But the ending is not what makes the movie inspiring it's the ideal to stand up for something you believe in and fight for what's right.

That's the ongoing theme of the movie and honestly after seeing the movie you feel like going to beat someone's ass. I mean the movie is just adrenaline pumped non stop action almost all the way through the movie.

Plus we went to the AM showing which is only 5.00 at AMC Promenade 24 in Westminster, CO.

The best 5.00 or any price I have paid for movie tickets thus far, I'm sure that will change when a go see Spider Man 3 but until then 300 kicks major ass. It deserves all the money it's making cause well you just gotta go see it. It's an experience which is what movie going should be, not overpriced admission and overpriced food.

In closing go see 300, if your into action movies well worth the money. I didn't go into the story and this is just a very casual take on my impression's. I'm not a hardcore review type of person. To me it get's boring and tedious.

Anyway 300 = a excellent movie going experience that should not be missed out on. Sure the DVD will be out before summer surely but your missing out until then.

Weekend recap-

Well the weekend is over and let me say that there way to short.

I went to the MMA event on Sat with my bud, and it was fun lots of women go to these events which kinda took me by surprise. I guess seeing dudes beat the living piss outta eachother can be enjoyed by all !

All in all it was a good time, two hefty women behind us kept hitting on my friend, they were pretty blazed by the time the event started and you could smell the jager with the perfume mix good times, eh maybe not!

I could intervene as a wingman but hell big women gravitate to me like well stink on shit, hey I'm not saying there isn't anything wrong with that it's just not for me. I know fat bitches need lovin too....

I like women that take care of themselves for one thing. If I'm in shape working my ass off 6 days a week chugging protein shakes and eating right it's not gonna go towards meeting a chick that is the complete opposite and like's to eat bad 24/7. You have to be careful who you surround yourself with and get involved with, those people you choose as your surroundings do have an impact on your life one way or another.

Anyway enough of that, so the person my friend knows who works at 24 hr fitness, had his fight and well lost by decision. The opponent he was fighting was a tough grappler and there was one time our buddy could have cold cocked the guy in the temple but didn't take the moment. The shot was wide open. But live and learn he'll be back, he is one tough SOB.

At the end of the night it was time to get blazed and I don't mean drunk or krunk I mean it was time to smokey smokey. Chiba is awesome stuff even though the US government deems it a gateway drug which is a joke.

Let me be the first to say I have had no desire to snort coke, shoot up heroin or heat up some meth in a spoon after smoking mary jane for quite a while now. I don't even have the desire to smoke cigarettes. Luckily in good ol' Colorado you can carry 1 ounce of the good shit with you without any interference with the po po.

To be blunt I have not meant one person including myself that smokes marijuana that has not transitioned into harder drugs. Almost everyone I know except my drunk ass roommate smokes. It ends right there, don't let uncle sam blow smoke up your ass literally there good at that!

Tonight however it's concert night, me and Phil are gonna go check out Year Long Disaster at the Marquis Theatre in Larimer Square tonight at 8 PM.

This is gonna be the first time I see them and Sword so hopefully it kicks major ass.

Sunday was pretty chill I'm on Day 3 of Graw, for some reason I have not gotten my ACT 2 Achievement's yet so I'm wondering WTF happened.

Unless I'm still in ACT 2, I can't say for sure all I know is there are two more nukes to take out in the story line and I'm back in Warrez, Mexico. I tried Co-Op this weekend with Ed, but shit we kept fucking it up. We needed one more person with us and well the Graw 2 rooms seemed like a ghost town yesterday afternoon.

I'm gonna skip on Virtua Tennis afterall cause I already got Guitar Hero 2 pre ordered and 30.00 paid into that game already. Let's face it Virtua Tennis looks more of the same, if you played the psp version and the dreamcast version it's more of the same.

Not to say I wont ever get the game cause I will, I'm just not gonna miss out on Guitar Hero 2 a unique game I have never played Vs a game that I already know what to expect. Perhaps in April you guys out there will see me blog on NBA Street, Def Jam and Virtua Tennis. But first and foremost Guitar Hero 2 is the number one mark on my gaming list.

Plus we all know there will be some sort of a drought so the 3 game's I just mentioned will fill that quite nicely. The summer is almost here afterall.

Halo 3 Lengendary 129.99 bones or your gaming soul !

Now that's either an irratating thought or something most Halo fanboys won't care about. But i guess that's life i just read today's gaming news and seen this on various blogs and other gaming sites.

While im gonna give MS 129.99 for this game, a couple choice thoughts for the good people at Bungie.

One make this game the best ever, 129.99 for a game is allot of mula and you better give me a game i can sink my fangs into like a Vampire on a blood binge.

Second don't end this game like Halo 2, we deserve something better then some open ended B.S that was Halo 2

Third this better be one of the greatest looking video games ever, while im not happy about a 129.99 for a helmet, couple DVD's and a pretty Halo 3 box im gonna buy it because it will be the must own thing this year for the 360, plus im a gaming hoar so i gotta have the geekiest thing ever in my bedroom!

While that maybe a lame ass excuse MS can basically do what they wish, when you have something like Halo you can do whatever you want.

But i guess the question would then be does it make it right to charge that much?

Split opinions here, i can see both sides but im sure the Xbox forums are going ape shit over this announcement. I don't want to even hear the import argument either, it's not like HALO 3 is a JP exculsive and never to reach US shores. This is a completely different issue all together.

All i know is im paying 90 plus for guitar hero 2 in a couple weeks, and damn when a hobby gets this expensive it will really make you start buying games that are mostly must have games. Probably why i have not bought NBA Street and Def Jam and looks like Virtua Tennis 3 may have to take a back seat for a while also.

Busy weekend

I thought I'd take a post to mention other thing's then gaming. Sure this is my gaming blog but every once and while I like to take a step back from my 360 controller and well live life and do other things besides gaming.

Don't get me wrong I'll always be a gamer until the day I die but I have allot of other interests as well. Let's forget the physco post I did last month about my Ex or let's say a female I dated which basically ripped my heart out and sucked the life force outta me. If you can guess what movie that's from kudos to you. Anyway that's another post for another time.

I just find it amazing what love and women can do to you. When you pour yourself and heart into something and that person basically is someone else then what you thought it can play havoc with ones confidence and emotional well being.

Which brings me to I guess the most casual post ever, not about gaming but more about I guess what I have planned. It's time for me to get back out there and find a new chic.

Yeah baby the Rocky Mountain Bad Boyz Battle In the Cage VII is a Mixed Martial Art fighting event much like what UFC and other organizations like K-1 as well put on. Sure it's at Red and Jerry's and perhaps a smaller event when compared to others mentioned above. But if you look at my profile you'll notice that I'm into kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts. Remember I mention from time to time that I go down to 24 hr fitness in Parker, CO. Well one of the trainer's Mac knows will be fighting in this event. Another reason why were going, this I believe is London's first MMA fight. All I know that he's fighting a submission wrestler.

I can't say more then that cause it's still a ways to go but were gonna cheer him on and hopefully he'll give fool the touch of sleep!

After that it's off to a poker game that I'm hoping to whip some ass on, iv' e been practicing with World Series Of Poker: Tournament of Champions Edition for the 360. I guess this is kinda gaming related, anyway my roomie has mostly been playing it since he's a huge Poker freak. So hopefully my training will pay off and I can get some cash flow.

Then Sunday I'm gonna go see 300, oh hell yeah the chance to see some Greek Spartans kick some major ass sure why not. Plus it's based off the Frank Miller graphic novel. Remember he illustrated one of the greatest Batman saga's ever not to mention another well known graphic novel that was a huge movie Sin City.

Monday I am also going out with another friend one of my best friends Phil. Phil is a bouncer at the jazz club called the D-Note down in olde town Arvada, CO.

He's handled security for Dillon, Tom Petty and many other bands that have come to Colorado. This guy is my music advisor as his taste is playa believe that, he's got allot of memorabilia from rocks past, and present. Not to mention one of my smoking buddies and I ain't talking cigarettes either. What you didn't think I did that well yeah I do and let me say it's an awesome way to relax. Anyway were going to see the Tragically Hip down at the Gothic in downtown Denver. It should be fun I haven't heard to music from this band. So my musical tastes are ever evolving. Well I'm off to play some Graw 2 and check up on TMNT release on Xbox Live. Oh yeah I'm gonna post my age and name on my profile from now on (dont ask why its just something i have to do). A new member of the family!

Iv' e been hella busy today paying off bills and shopping, I could have bought a Nintendo Wii or a DS and some games but I thought why?

I dunno I'm still pretty happy with my 360 and I really don't have a good TV to support a Wii right now. The DS is pretty cheap and I felt I could have waited on that. I don't know if I can see myself with a DS in public, maybe that's a little dumb to think that but meh then you get screen glare in direct sunlight to a degree.

So what did I do? I bought an HDTV, it's only a 19ich Samsung LCD but hey this is for my bedroom and since I'm moving soon (May) yet again thanks to my roommate I needed a display that I could carry and move real easy and fast if need be. Sure I would have loved to get a 42inch plasma or LCD but my cousin couldn't part ways with hers and hell let's face it HDTV's now days are a grip.

This TV is on the small side but I sit close to it anyway so it's really not a bad screen size. The color's the this display are crisp and sharp, I put in Lost Planet and it looks great now I can't wait to put in Gears and play some Crackdown on this unit. When I got to bestbuy today and I first seen that I was like wtf maybe not! But then I looked at the monitor's and thought hell if I decide to get a Wii later on I'll have a unit that can house my 360 and Wii or even a PS3 through component.

That would be great compared to just hooking my 360 backup to a widescreen PC monitor where if I did that I got a Wii I would still have to trek back to bestbuy to get an HDTV. Now the Samsung I bought can only do 720P max but heck even thought Virtua Tennis and Nba Street homecourt will be the first 1080P games on the 360, I'm happy with 720P right now that I don't really see the need for 1080P just yet. I'm wondering why 1080P is listed on the back of the Lost Planet box as a resolution that the game will run in!? I mean if that's the case wouldn't that make LP the first game to run in 1080P? Or maybe it can run natively in 1080P or a typo, who knows!

All of my Hi Def needs are met by my 360 whether it's gaming or HD DVD movies but since I can get all of my local channels free in Hi Def I must figure out how to do this. Cable looks like ass on it, but I may invest in some HD programming down the road. Another thing I do like about my Samsung is that it matches my 360 perfectly. White with a silver bottom is great form factor, the built in speakers are weak but I have a home theater for my bedroom so no biggie. Also there isn't an HDMI port but like I said I can always connect a PS3 through component no biggie but it would have been nice.

Maybe over the summer I will upgrade to a bigger display and have two display's hanging in my bedroom one for movies and one for my 360. Now that would be pretty sweet!

What a slow day, it's monday for sure. Not to much is happening kinda sucks!

It's an intresting article and since it's a slow monday with really nothing going on it's a good read. I was at my cousin's house eating bad food during the Superbowl then i went to go workout afterwards. I felt really guilty and decided to do something good for myself and worked out. Now that football season is over with sundy's will be strange.

I should be back tomorrow sometime, i haven't checked any of the major gaming site's cause there blocked here at work.

Slow day

Okay well now that my episode is over with, sorry if i had to put everyone threw that but sometimes it feel's good just to let everything out in the open. Not to much going on today just a bunch of hung over Bears and Colts fans. If i have anything to post i'll post a little later on today or tonight depending on where you live.

But i did read on gametab that Konami had some huge announcement today but maybe that was just a rumor or something. Time to surf!

Site changes and updates for Feb 2007

Okay just a few changes made to my site, im getting rid of one of the media player's on the site since MS added the ability to add embedded video to the blogs now. All i can say is WHOO HOO!!! Finally pretty sweet....

It was a little tedious to keep adding trailers from gametrailers and so fourth. So now my posts will contain videos from gamevideos.com and pics if there relevant to the topics i like to post about. One thing i don't want to do is litter my blog posts with alot of video and pics i want to keep it clean and nice.

I also made the banner changes so now you will see a crackdown banner and logo singifying feb's big game of the month. Next month im not sure what the "big" maybe but if it's guitar hero it'll take crackdown's spot for next month. The only game banner i left uptop was Gears Of War because it was the end of the year and there was somewhat of a drought besides Viva Pinata.

Stay tuned for some more pics in the month of Feb. as i will be adding pics here and there. Im trying to strike a deal on a 42inch panasonic plasma that my cousin is considering selling to me. The offer 300.00.... i think it's a sweet deal as well so that Wii or DS may have to wait until may. I need a great display to put that HD DVD drive to use. If i can broker the deal you guys will see the pictures. Since this is a blog and not a true website per say i like to post pics of my gear when i get it as well as the game's i like to play and so fourth, really kinda mixes thing's up a little bit.

Income Tax Time: time to spend.....

I know iv'e been MIA for the last part of Jan. Iv'e been getting back into shape down in LA gym in Englewood, CO and starting my kickboxing routine up again, then been hitting the 24 hr fitness with a co-worker 3 nights a week. I've been busy but that doesn't mean i have not been paying attention to the news and the world of gaming. Hell i haven't even been on my 360 for a week or more.

Anyway im getting my tax return and it's so sad cause i could get an HDtv but it's not exactly one of the one's i was hoping to purchase so what am i to do? I really want an HDtv but what's the use if can't get the one i truly want, i could get a tube HD unit but those are pretty heavy and they just dont have the lure the flat panels have.

I mean compare a big tube unit to something you can mount on the wall and move very easy if you had to move. Which i do have to move in may cause see my roomate screwed our lease by throwing parties for four days straight. 40 plus people in one apartment really pisses the nieghbors off and then the police get sent and the office management get's hella pissed. Anyway that's another story for another time i suppose.

My LCD monitor is still holding up, i get 5 checks in July so i figure i will wait and treat myself with the HDtv i want for my birthday that way i can blow away 1500.00 no problemo. I was thinking of jumping into a Wii or a Nintendo DS! ARGH i know i know but hell Nintendo has been on fire and the Wii does intrest me alot even though i question it's longevity. But when you think about it if anyone can make an underpowered system last it's Nintendo. You maybe asking why?

I believe fan loyalty is more powerful then what any naysayer can argue, the Nintendo nation is powerful and loyal not to mention all the soccer mom's that won't plunk down half a grand for the lean mean PS3 grill'in machine! Plus i have been hearing from various podcast's that Zelda is lasting some gamers 40-60 hrs, talk about longevity eh!

Then there's the Nintendo Ds, Hotel Dust or Dusk (SP!?), the Brainage games, the battery life and old school Mario. Not to mention it's alot cheaper then those POS Sony PSP's which i went through two of them. Sorry i don't need Socom when i got GRAW for my 360. Like it or not that's how i see it. So if i get a DS i will get the Black Onyx which is super sexy and 3 games, most likely Phoenix Wright, Super Mario, and either Elite Beat Agents, Mario Cart or Metriod Pinball or Prime Hunters.

err umm wait... on second thought i better make it 6 games!

I'm back, Happy Late New year to everyone out there in cyber space whoever and wherever you guys may reside at.

I disapeared for a while taking some time off for the holiday's and my blog, to play games relax. The news of sorts has been ultra slow, im not intrested in Playstation bashing. Honestly i could care less i mean to me the PS3 freezes inside a kiosk isn't news to me. Just in case some of you out there maybe wondering my thoughts on that issue.

Again a big kudos to MS for extending the warranty on the 360 to 1 year. Honestly they should have done that from the get go! So what did i get for Christmas?

Let's see, Santa mom bought me F.E.A.R. for the Xbox 360 whoo hoo, an itunes gift card which is half used after i downloaded some Snoop Dogg, and Chris Brown and other music. Clothes, and a wall charger for my ipod video which was wicked sweet, since the pod's battery life is ass.

This morning as i got to work hung over from lastnight i heard about Broncos CB Darrent Williams being gunned down. Completely bummed out. Seriously people need to learn how to co exsist in this world. Futher more bring those Mother Fucker's to justice.

TGIF and the day after the storm!

Ugh man WTF do i start...

Im here at work after digging my car out all flippin day Thursday and Today as well. I got an email that my apartment complex office issued stating they would start clearing the 3 ft snow drifts out of our lot. It still hasnt happend.

Honestly what is my money going towards? Isn't this why i pay for administrative services like trash, water etc. Anyway snow storms suck and ones that shut everything down for a day or two really suck.

I finally got to work at two hrs late today but hey atleast i still made it right! I even got a 25.00 gift card from my dept. meh Lost Planet im looking at you!

So what did i do for the two days snowed in? Well i played alot of Graw, R6 and TDU. TDU was a nice escape and tricking my mind into thinking the blizzard outside my window wasn't that bad. Played alot of Ghost Reacon with my suedo gaming roomate, that swears he's not a gamer but plays games go figure eh!

I also spent a couple days in the Allgames.com chat room while listening to All Games Interactive podcasts with Scot Rubin, Mayor Young and the lovely Jessica which is my favorite gaming podcast. I go under the handle of Greek when i get on to chat. I gotta say alot of cool people hang out there and it's worth checking out.

Wed I played Rainbow 6 Vegas with Kmk and the fella's for a while and got one achievement to put me over the 17,000 gamerscore mark Whoo Hoo! It took me long enough.... Now i just have to get to 18,000 and then so on.

So im gonna finish my 3 hrs and start my christmas weekend, i may download and play Assault Hero's and give some impressions that game. My mom told me that i could open up an early gift this weekend and she told me to bring my 360 over her house for the weekend. I hope it's FEAR but it could be Viva Pinata the i swore i would never get! So by this time tomorrow you may or maynot see it on my gamer card.

I also heard about the VF to 360 deal in summer of 2007. But i want to dedicate and seprate update to that as well as Microsoft making all warranty 1 year by default which i give them mad props for. But i wonder why? Was it a lawsuit or was it that Sony or Nintendo offers this type of warranty already on their consoles and there just following suit ? Or was it the countless rumbling's of the community on the Xbox forums that made them realize something needed to change!!?

One thing is for sure i dont know about you guys and gals but im damn ready for 2007 to start so i can get my Lost Planet on in Jan.

I honestly think I'm a warm weather person, I love Colorado I'm a native.

But good lord these winter season's are becoming more and more unpredictable. I mean it was like 40 degrees and sunny yesterday, I was off for a few days from work.

I went to bed at a decent time taking all of the local newscasts into account about the upcoming snow storm. So I wake up about 0930 am this morning and what do I find? You guessed it a massive snow storm!

Thinking it wasn't all that bad, even after watching like 2 hrs of local newscasts saying stay in and off the roads. What did I do?

You guessed it! I actually went out to the grocery store down the street.

Grabbed some gaming food for a couple days. My car right now sits under 2 Feet of snow in my apartments parking lot. Where I live in Northglenn Co we got anywhere from 12.5 to 19 inches of snow atleast. Well know more in the morning when the local newscasts start getting totals in from the night time snow fall.

It's still snowing out as I type this update on my blog. I played some GRAW today with my roommate. I'm not even at 17,000 gamerscore points yet. I've been doing the end of the year slacking thing you know!

As many can tell I haven't updated my blog a whole lot either. December is always like this, not to much happening other then a bunch of laughable Sony bad press. I suppose also I'm going back to old 360 games like Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter as well trying to make that worthless gamerscore complete.

Which is fun eh!

Oh man im stuffed, were having a pot luck here at work tonight. Pizza Hut, ice cream cake, ice cream, kettle pop corn, chicken enchiladas and dorritos. Im so full i cant eat for one week, i think ive ate enough food for 2 maybe 3 people. Good thing i have a high matabolism cause if i didnt id be hurtin bad.

Its Halloween morning the witching hour whatever you call it. But its time to get those trick or treaters out to ger some candy. I remember them days we would always have this one guy in my nieghborhood were he would dress up like dracula and have tombstones all over the place with smoke effects. I was such a chicken shit it wasnt even funny but it was fun as hell good times. The candy i used to get was rediculous, id have so much candy that i would have to throw half of it away cause i could never eat all of it. Good thing cause my teeth prob would have rotted out.

Were also one week away from the Novemeber 7th, the day Gears of War ships out to retailers. Check with your local Eb games cause mine is telling me that they cannot sell their allotment until the 12th which imo is not true. I believe Epic themselves said once retailers get the games in its at their discreation if they wait or not! I could be dead wrong, but i believe they can sell them before the 12th which is the official Emergence Day and the day all major outlets like Best Buy, Walmart, Circuitcity and other major stores besides Eb/ Gamestop will sell them. i will say one thing though if everyone is playing GOW on my list before me and i have to wait until the 12th thats the last time i will buy from that store.

Continued.... Okay its now 1:20 am and my pc rebooted for apparant reason! Ugh well yah strange, im gonna go back to watching Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin Patch.

Most Haunted Live

Its 12:34 and its Halloween eve, im getting ready to get my two days off from work this week. Some of my friends are going to costume parties, me im not going thats def not my thing! So what is a gamer to do on the night of the dead, the night of Hallow? Play games yo! come on this isnt a gaming blog for nothing.

One recommendation i do want to make though if anyone has watched most wanted on the Travel Channel i believe is some pretty creepy stuff. Its a tv series that air weekly on the network, every Halloween they try to make contact with the evil dead at some of the most haunted locations in the UK. All captured on live TV imo not matter what you believe in its still worth checking out. They also have webcam's set up over the internet that you can go to while the show is in progress. They have had reports of TV's shutting off while people were watching the show, i dont know how much of that is true of course but you never know.

The Most Haunted crew does this every Halloween. I think the show only started airing in America last year or in 2004 im not 100 percent sure but its a good tv series. Its also something to do before watching any scary movies and before you pop that popcorn and turn the lights out.

Site Changes and a new motto!

It's 0530 am in Colorado and im still at work, how in the hell does this happen? Honestly i just want to go home and play the 360. Load up some Ulitmate MK even though it kicks me off XBOX LIVE i guess they (XBOX LIVE TEAM) needs to get that fixed. I changed somethings on my site/blog including the layout for the 1 billionth (is that a word!?) time. I even figured out how to add banners and all that neat stuff everyone of us sees when we go to a website. Which is very very cool it adds something to the site!

So how did i do it, well i stumbled across another spaces site and well this person knows there stuff and i'd like to thank them for putting up this info on their site. So other users can get the most out of the customization aspect of their blog.

Awesome information to put it very lightly. I even put up a tagline of sorts, The Life of a 360 Gamer is just that. Living the gaming life or a life that incorporates gaming into it. I mean i have met so many people over XBOX LIVE, from military, to moms, dads etc. All walks of life, the word gaming isn't confined to the sterotypical nerd with a pocket protector anymore! Everyone games and i've been gaming since i can remember how to tie my shoes for the first time. Ever since then i havent looked back, if anyone thinks that gaming is just for people with no life they are grossly misinformed and imo making an ignorant statement on something they have no knowledge on. That motto best represents what this site is about talking about XBOX 360 games the ongoings in the XBOX community here and there, i dont like to talk about myself a whole lot. But when the time is right or a i have to vent this is a good outlet for me to get rid of stress.

Im not trying to be gramatically correct or anything like that, but typing and jotting down thoughts and then translating them to this site is truly a stress reliever. Im just a person that enjoys gaming and have a passion for it, i feel somewhat immersed into this thing we call video gaming. Im also not trying to come off as some know it all or someone that knows everything about video gaming or the industry we enjoy and like to share opinions on. I just like to post about things and questions i have about where the industry is headed and what games are coming out that i'd love to play.

So you may be wondering the Marvel Ulitmate Alliance banner and the Spider Man pic up top. Honestly i did that cause this week the game is releasing and when a major release comes out for the week i try to dedicate information on that game for the entire week. I did it with Splinter Cell Double Agent and this week it's Marvels turn. Now i wont do it on every single XBOX 360 game cause well theres just way to many games to do that with. Plus i'd have banners all over this site which would look all jacked up! So for the game of the week i'll post a banner on top of my site here and perhaps a pic where Spidey reisdes this month to celebrate the game of the week. I will also put up trailers and pics in my posting's of the game as well.

Imo it's a creative way to bring attention to the game im spotlighting for the week. That's the reason behind that, just chek the video games section of my blog to find the games im talking about this week if it's not on the main page. Now i may not present the most indepth techincal analysis but i try to make the post entertaining as i can or if im in a great mood. Like today's update on Marvel Ultimate Alliance will include the top ten bad ass character imo that are in the game. Im a big Wolverine fan but im not gonna play any favorites like that im gonna keep it fair and square!

One more thing before i go and finish up my last hour of work. Thats a big THANK YOU to anyone that reads my blog. Even if you get here by mistake through Google! I will continue to update my site as much as possible and continue to expand and grow it even if takes another form Word Press!

Changes

So anyone who reads my blog may notice it's been changing some what and i keep moving things here and there.

Well im thinking about creating a gaming website im just not sure if and what it'll be called.

I am however thinking about using Word Press iv'e been browsing their site quite a bit over the last two nights, im finding i just want to do more then what my blog space will allow me. I will say though that this is just thinking out load as i type this. Website's consume alot of time and i would want to it stand out in the community. I dont want to do something that everyone else is doing, cause let's face it everyone reads the same news on alot of gaming sites. Another reason why i limit coverage on events like TGS and X06. So it's got to be unique in the fact that people will want to keep browsing the site daily. It has to concentrate on the games though first and foremost.

Since im most likely the only person running the site it'll focus on the XBOX360 platform as well. I think this community is unique and honestly i dont have tons of time to play the PS3 and the Wii enough to give them fair coverage. So staying within the XBOX community is ideal and its where i feel like i belong. But i would not rule out the possibility of expanding the site later on to include all platforms. Gaming is in my blood so to shun the other platforms is to limited ones shelf in experiencing what gaming has to offer as a whole.

I would def continue the blog though although when and if the website is complete and ready enough it may stray away from gaming just a tad. But linking the two seemlessly is what the plan would be. I have alot more research to do before i put fourth my effort into cyber space so just stay tuned.

Hey all, dang sorry for not updating my blog for what seems like days. It's hard to be out of the loop for a few days, im trying to get back into the grove sorta speak.

So whats up with me lately? Well iv'e just been pretty addicted to my 30GB IPOD yah i know i said i was gonna wait for the Zune but hey the itch was to much for me to resist. I love the IPOD so far although i did one freeze already from a bad encode on Bad Boys2 with Will Smith and Martin Lawerence. Had to clarify that tittle i dont any of you getting any ideas about that, no im putting PrOn on my Ipod!

I can see why Apple controls the market in North America and in Japan the product is good really good imo. Yes i could have gotten a Creative Vision M but meh it just doesn't look as cool as the Ipod plus what's up with the front!!? Vertical scrolling meh WTF! You can clearly tell Creative ripped off the ipod in some ways UI anyone? It's like Ipod light but for Windows users there really is no point since Apple has support for Windows users concerning the Ipod. Now one thing i gotta say i had no idea about ejecting the Ipod first when you want to get it off the "Do Not Disconnect" icon so im still learning the nuances of the machine

If one thing irks me bad about my whole new discovery into the Ipod relm is fucking itunes! Could be cause version 7 is way new and has not seen any updates yet but on my PC it runs like ass and does not play well with other programs at all. Today however it seems ok but im not gonna brag on the POS yet. Im not paying for content through itunes i found another site. This site offers a one time fee and let's you download any thing yuo could pretty much think of. Now the 39.95 ONE TIME fee is well ok if you download alot it's worth it imo. More so then itunes which is a go as you pay service so over time it could add up big time.

The site im talking about is Myipoddownloads.com, so far the 39.95 one time fee i paid already paid for itself in the last 3 days since i purchased my ipod. Iv'e downloaded 3GB worth of music, downloaded movies like: Bad Boys2, Office Space, Batman Begins, The Wedding Crashers, so you gotta think that would be better then Apple's itunes 9.99 per movie price. Now i know 39.95 is a grip but you only pay that 1 time i can't stress that enough honestly. I know some of you may think im getting ripped, but when you consider the quality of the movies are on par with Apple's and also the music is as well. Granted you know how to look for the content and know about bit rates, encoded resolutions, and formats like AVI, MP4 and the quick time extension .mov

If this terminology doesnt scare you off it's way worth more then paying for the itunes prices, hell i can even get the games i want on my ipod what's better then that!! Now one thing that threw me off is the software that comes with the membership, yah you heard right it comes with the software to download content an it comes with the full version of Videora ipod converter as well. Anway the software is called MP3 rocket and while it does the job great it's exactly like Lime Wire.

The interface and everything is the same, which is very cool if anyone has used Lime Wire then you'll know how to use the software without any learning cuves at all. While i admit i was expecting something different for my one time fee so far im very happy. The site even has tutorials that you can view online streaming video. So if you are afraid or new to video encoding on the ipod scene theese are a great way you get you started off on the right track. Now one thing that itunes may have on this is that the download time and so fourth. I think Steve jobs commented on the itunes movies download it may be about 30 mins to download. Which if true is alot better then waiting a couple hours but dont hold me or quote me to that cause i have not downloaded any movies through the itunes store.

One thing though which is another cool aspect of the software that you get is that itunes will recognize the software just like Lime Wire so you can sync your libraries. Like i said ive been highly addicted to my ipod alot better then the Sony PSP and better then a DS. Yes i know different devices for different usage and each of them have their own drawbacks and strength. But i just think for on the go users or people with interent acces capped at work it works like a charm!

I also downloaded the TGS content and the F.E.A.R demo which i wanna sink my teeth into this week. I never played the PC version so this will be something to look forward to as well. One last note on my ipod experience to date. That is man thing lil fucker has alot of accessories doesnt it? I mean crap i bought a Belkin FM transmitter and the ipod body overlay which protects the ipod all the way around in a sheet of clear thing plastic or something! It's like what the psp has for its screen, but this also protects the back which is all chrome and scratches very easily. I also bought the poly carbinate case which if i drop it i can be assured hopefully that the ipod is protected. Forget that leather crap those dont protect anything and i gotta do all i can to protect and take care of my investment. i paid close to 300.00 for everything including the 1 year warranty. I learned from the 360 that warranty is good thing now days eh!?

The 360 is still going strong but after all the 360 issues others are having im a firm believer in the in-store warranty option. I sure dont want to ship it back for a re-furb and what not. If my ipod poops out i can take it back and get a brand new product. I also downloaded the ipos software for my 360 and it works better then the windows option for this one reason.

Hey my friendly neighborhood XBOTS how's it hanging?

I've taken a break from this week a little bit, i got bored waiting for the TGS content over the Market Place so i decided to let thing's calm down a bit before the next update. I think there's alot more in the Market Place in the last few days. But seems like to me that TGS isn't as big as e3 was or used to be. Sure it's big in the sense that TGS has had it's fair share of announcement's. Or could be that Japan is seeing the most of the content. I dunno with the SONY keynote let down i think that perhaps put a damper of sorts on TGS for me. I now have no reason to buy a PS3 at this time, MGS4 isnt enough to convince me. In true SONY fashion for the last year they imo bite the big one, laid n egg, screwed the pooch whatever you wanna call it. SONY did not get the job done. The price cuts are cool for Japan and all but what about the North American gamers? Why just Japan, imo it's obvious that SONY feels with the lower priced Wii and the MS onslaught and the 360 now offering 1080P capability, SONY is playing catch up to the other two now. I understand the ecomics of the decision dont doubt me on that, and dont discount my ramblings here. But im speaking from a gamer's perspective here and honestly for all the SONY fans i think the price cut in Japan is bullshit to be frank.

I could care less but if your going to cater to one region of the world that is considered your backyard i think it just send a piss poor message to everyone else. Also what's up with HDMI shit now on the base PS3!!? Is that for Japan only? Again what about the US the region (north american cant forget Canada to eh!) where alot of those worldwide sales came from. Also the 1.00 demo download idea is anothe bad idea along with the supposed 2 SKU Grand Turismo idea. I just see 15 years of hard work being flushed down the crapper, a word to SONY if i want a myspace or youtube i'd go to those sites to upload vids and what not. I sure in hell would not do that shit on a PS3 or any other console. It's amazes me how theese companies announce products and don't seem to take into consideration how theese toold will be used, im not playing favorites cause MS is guilty of this crap also with the vision camera and feedback system that works on an intermitent basis.

Honestly, how will SONY control the flow of content that's uploaded to your PS3!? Just like my grip with the patching issue, im seeing more and more of an attitude of let's launch it into the market and worry about the consequenses later on and we'll patch it with updates later down the road. It's a dangerous game of being first into the marketplace and also a wreckless game of one upsmanship! Im all for inovation but at what cost if the system is broke to begin with how inovative is that in all honesty. Exactly a beef i have with the Wii, while i think Nintendo may have hit the jackpot with the Wii. The problem i have is that the company has said time and time again it wants to remain separte from competing with MS and SONY in the same maket space. On the other hand the Wii will offer internet services with Wii channels were users can get news, weather etc like a portal site an all encompassing news information center. It's cool but i think it's still sending a mixed message, you can't have your cake and eat it to Nintendo!

Forgive me for my ranting here im just giving my thoughts on what i see as trends im starting to see emerging in the new dawn of gaming.

On the flipside we have alot of nice things to look forward to. Hell today kmkjugglo17 got his vision camera and i seen him in the flesh in a video chat window on my 360. How cool is that? I went to 10 places today, best buy, Eb, circuitcity, compusa, target and even flippin walmart and i still couldn't find a Vision Camera. I think someone forgot to ship out to Colorado. If anyone who reads this and can hook me up with one i got the money!! One dude at walmart even told me that it was delayed until Nov. WTF is that about? I guess not every male from 18-34 is a gamer eh!? So i said screw it and went to circuitshitty and bought me my very first 30GB Ipod Video/Black. I know i know i sold out i couldnt wait for the Zune the Ipod craving was just to much and i said the hell with it.

So i spent a good portion of the day converting DVD movie's like Sin City, Batman Returns, Office Space, Swingers, Entourage season's 1-3 to my new toy. Sorry Apple but movies in 640X480 for 9.99 i dont think so! Im a firm believer but man im not into getting raped or roped into buying content that's not as good as the content from your own collection. I'd buy the the games like tetris and Zuma but that's about it. Tv shows and all that other content can be had somewhere else for alot less money.

So the Ipod is very impressive, it's easy to use, well made has a bright screen, and now has a search function just like other mp3 players, so far the player is blast to dick around with. If MS can compete with the ZUNE i give them props cause making Ipod convert's won't be easy at first. I bought my new 5th gen Ipod for 229.99 today was on sale and it was the last one in the cabinet. I had to have the Black one though even though the Ipod is seen as a traditional white, black is for the playas of the world! i honestly wanted the 80 Gb player but they were sold out and i didnt feel like going to another store. Plus 30Gb i mean unless i fill it with a bunch of p0rn i dont see myself using all of that 30GB. Now later on i could upgrade with some help from selling my man juice and spawning lil Greeks all over the world in an attempt in world domination. But in all honesty i could never do that just not my thing.

I have to play around with the new itunes functionality more this morning after work. But so far it looks pretty cool in my brief time with the software. So that's pretty much my week and i hope that X06 is more eventful then TGS has been so far. I can't believe were only a little over a month away from Gears Of War being released. This year seems like it's flying by.

Down but not out

You know how i always said that all i do at work was browse the internet waiting for things to break. Well hell looks like my whole dept got put on check and i bragged to soon. My trusted employer put in a new proxy server thus blocking out certain content like gaming sites, or anything deemed non corp policy and put on a black list of sorts.

I expect my blog this site to be put on that list soon, but the funny thing is they deem internet radio inapropriate yet i can access certain news sites with talk radio like the Drudge report and 850 KOA local news radio/talk station locally here in Denver. Although i can access podcasts like Unscripted360 and GamerTagRadio. But i expect those to put put on the no-no list soon as well. Im not shocked most of all corporations go through this at one point or another. I wont be on the XBOX forums at night either due to the site being blocked. Another funny thing is games are listed on that proxy list but gaming news sites or anything with the word GAME in it is considered a no-no even though you not actually playing games or emulated games on the company computers. Kinda hypocritcal imo......

So i will update in the morning's and at night until my blog is put on the list the evening updates will be tech related in some fashion or another or maybe just a post on how things are going for me from day to day. Although im not sure anyone out there is real intrested in that, plus i really don't like to talk about myself like that. Im just a normal person like everyone else out there just tryin to get mine you know! So what can i do?

Enter the corporations worst nightmare the IPOD 5th generation multimedia and ultimate time waster! The new IPOD's are due out this week on Sept. 19th, 2006 according to circuitcity's website. Announced at Apple's Showtime Event on i believe Sept 12th, 2006 the new models include a 30 GB black/white Video IPOD and an 80 GB version. Even the shuffle got a make over but what i want is the 30 GB. The new models are listed at 249.99 and 349.99. Now i know the Microsoft Zune is scheduled out fro release but no prices have been given yet. I would consider that handheld but the IPOD is in it's 5th generation compared to the Zune which is completely new machine.

Now granted IPOD's can have issues, but i trust techonology that is been out longer. Plus has had the chance for the manufacter to tweek the hardware and inards to a point that some issues no longer present in the new machines. Im wont rule the Zune out completely but i am going to go the store in early early OCT to make a purchase. You maybe asking it's just an IPOD what makes it so great compared to say a PSP or Nintendo DS!? Well considering i cant really break out a gaming handheld right in front of everyone cause 1. You never know who may see you 2. I do have to watch out for co-workers that may not agree with my philosiphy and 3. The look of the machine gives it away.

The IPOD is so much more then just a handheld, with the release of ITUNES 7 you can download, games, audio books and even movies now through the service. Am i gonna pay for those what you crazy!?! Come on im not exactly the type that keeps a completely legal meida library. Any geek out there searches for the work around and back door to acquire the same thing that corp charge for, and for alot less or free through other means. I not saying go pirate or anything but why should i pay APPLE 9.99 -14.99 for a movie that 640X480 when i can download a MP4 converter and convert the same movie at a much higer resolution off my DVD collection. Which by the way is legit and i have put in alot of money over the years into buying movies. Just like the PSP if you have the space it's just more frugal for us in the end. I just like the fact that Apple has had an awakeining to and has finally started offering much more through ITUNES.

Plus another point someone may bring up for 249.99 why not get the Wii!? Trust me i really want the Wii but how will the Wii help me when i wanna listen to a podcast while im at work? I really want a portable device true i guess could just get a Wii but the Wii is not portable like an IPOD. So in that sense im torn, my gamer ambition in my mind says SCREW the IPOD the Wii is where it's at mofo!! But the other sensible part of me says you got the 360 and what about the games like CrackDown, Gears Of War, and Splinter Cell Double Agent, the Vision Camera, and the list goes on and on. Im debating whether or not i really need a second console to justify my gaming soul.

Listen imo just because you have one console does not prove your gaming IQ or cred is inferior to that of someone that has all 3 consoles and every exculsive game. What seperates theese two are there knowledge about gaming as a whole and their ability to see all sides and the also the ability to respect a game like GOD Of War for it's greatness even though it's on a SONY platfrom and you may never play it. It's the ability to critize the company you support at time's if you have one console when there in the wrong. So the fact that i may choose an IPOD for it's verastility over the Wii for now does not have anything to do with my gaming knowledge or loyalty in any way.

I will get the Wii eventually but not this year it may be at the beinging of 2007. I think the machine will sell like crazy im just not ready for this console yet considering i still want to purcahse an HDTV. Until i see and touch the ZUNE in person my thinking as of now is that the IPOD has some versatility over it for now based on what i have read in the press release for the ZUNE. I understand i could be dead wrong but i know exactly what im getting with the IPOD vs the ZUNE. If MS prices the ZUNE at 349.99 for a 30GB model forget it when for 100.00 less give or take i can get the 30 GB IPOD VIDEO. Plus given the fact that an IPOD looks much more inncocent in the midst of co-workers compared to a DS or PSP. If they only knew......

Hey fella's and laides out in cyber space....

It's my weekend and hell im gonna actually get to sleep at night for once in a long long time. Working the Graves shift takes alot of you and your body. My job is cool and all but dang how i miss working days having weekends off, it also cuts your social life down drastically. Going to bars on a tues or wed night doesnt compare to friday and the weekends.

Anyway im take theese next two days off and relax play some 360 and enjoy it cause thurs night it's back to work for another fun filled week. It really is insane how we spend more time at work with co workers then we do living life and doing things that make us happier. It really didnt hit me until this week. I understand responsibilities and bill and all that but its just something to ponder and think about. 8hrs a day 5 days a week with co workers can be a pain in anyones ass. I honestly feel like somtimes my job is like a seragate mother sucking the life force outta me at times. Im sure everyone feels the same in way and can relate to what im saying.

I wish sometimes i could say fuck it and just go away and be spontaneous and start over again. Just i guess the feeling of true and absolute freedom and doing what you want to. Experiencing different cultures and ways of life, i suppose like an awakening to a different life or life

style. But everyone needs money to live that way and well we gotta work. Its not always that easy is it? It's nice to dream and think of what could someday be.

Well im going to bed now not gonna get deep, i gotta play in the morning with my crew. If anyone reads this blog just do me one favor live life and enjoy the time we have while were living. Life is way to short and there are a ton of video games to play things to do and girls to meet.
